Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters designed for applications up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate at the input voltage. Ensure you determine if the power supply is 1-phase or 3-phase, and choose a starter with a rating higher than the FLA. Additionally, choose the control power for the contactor and select an overload that encompasses the FLA. Four optional criteria are available for customization: Incoming power can be set as "direct-online starter" if line power is also used for control, or as "separate control voltage" if they differ. For activation via an external switch, "remote start terminals" can be added, or you can opt for "separate control voltage + remote start terminals" if using different voltages. The features of the starter include a 26A 1-phase separate control voltage with start/stop functionality, a 24-60V AC/DC coil, and a 10-13A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
