Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters with specifications up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) on the motor nameplate in relation to the input voltage and determine if the motor is 1-phase or 3-phase. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA, select the control power for closing the contactor, and pick an overload based on a current range that encompasses the FLA. The optional criteria include incoming power type: for a "direct-online starter," the line power serves as control power; a "separate control voltage" indicates differing line and control voltages, while "remote start terminals" allow activation from an external switch. The motor starter features a 26A rating, 1-phase operation with separate control voltage and remote start terminals, start/stop functionality, and accommodates a 24-60V AC/DC coil with a 16-20A overload relay.
