Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for applications up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter consists of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, first refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to confirm the full load amperage (FLA) at the supplied input voltage, ensuring to distinguish between single-phase and three-phase power. It is critical to choose a starter rated for a current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. Additionally, select the control power used for closing the contactor and choose the overload by identifying a current range that includes the FLA noted earlier. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power configurations, where a "direct-online starter" uses line power as control power, "separate control voltage" indicates differing line and control voltages, and the inclusion of "remote start terminals" for activation from an external switch. The specific features of the starter include a 26A rating, capability for 1 phase operation, remote start terminals, a reset button only, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 13-16A overload relay, all housed within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
