Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, confirming whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA. The control power must be determined to close the contactor, and the overload must be selected from a current range that includes the motor's FLA. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power configurations, such as "direct-online starter" for the same line and control power voltage, or "separate control voltage" for different voltages. Options also include "remote start terminals" for activation from an external switch, and the configuration of "separate control voltage + remote start terminals" for when different voltages are used. Key features include a 38A three-phase direct online start/stop functionality, a 250-500V AC/DC coil, and a 24-29A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
