Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters capable of handling up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. For proper starter selection, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate at the input voltage supplied, noting whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power; select a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA. Choose the control power for closing the contactor and select the overload based on a current range that includes the FLA determined earlier. Optional criteria include the type of incoming power: a "direct-online starter" if line power is used as control power, "separate control voltage" if control voltage differs from line voltage, and configurations for "remote start terminals" if activation is from an external switch, with variations for combined or separate control voltages. Key features include a 26A 1-phase direct online reset button, 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 20-24A overload.
