Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters designed for applications up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To ensure proper selection, users should verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate based on the input voltage supplied, while also confirming if the motor is single-phase or three-phase. The starter should be rated for current higher than the FLA. The control power used to close the contactor must also be chosen, and the overload should be selected within a current range that accommodates the FLA. Optional criteria include the type of incoming power; for instance, a "direct-online starter" uses line power for control, while "separate control voltage" indicates differing line and control voltages. For starters requiring activation from an external switch, "remote start terminals" are provided, and if different voltages are used, it is categorized as "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." Specific features of this starter include a 26A rating, compatibility with 1 phase, remote start terminals, a reset button, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 20-24A overload relay.
