Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, ensuring the appropriate phase (1-phase or 3-phase) is confirmed. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of the motor and select the control power used to close the contactor. The overload should be chosen based on a current range containing the motor's FLA. Optional criteria for selection include the type of incoming power; if the line power also serves as control power, it is considered a "direct-online starter," whereas if the control voltage differs from the line voltage, it is categorized as "separate control voltage." For starters activated by an external switch, remote start terminals can be added assuming line and control voltages match; if they differ, it is referred to as "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." This product features a 26A 1-phase direct online with a reset button, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 24-29A overload, housed in NEMA 4X polycarbonate.
