Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for applications up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, it is important to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage from the motor or equipment nameplate, ensuring the correct configuration for either single-phase or three-phase power. The starter must be rated for current higher than the FLA of the motor, and the control power required to close the contactor must be specified. The overload selection should encompass the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria for selection include the type of incoming power: a "direct-online starter" for line power used as control power, or "separate control voltage" if different. For activation from an external switch, "remote start terminals" can be added, with considerations for different line and control voltage requirements. The kit features 38A capacity, 3-phase configuration, a separate coil voltage, start/stop functionality, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and an overload rating of 20-24A.
