Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters capable of handling up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage and check if the system is 1-phase or 3-phase. Choose a starter with a current rating higher than the FLA of the motor. Control power options include direct-online starters, where line power also serves as control power, and separate control voltage options. For external activation, remote start terminals can be added, assuming line and control voltages are the same, or configured for separate control voltage with remote start terminals if different voltages are utilized. Key features of the starter include 38A 3-phase compatibility, remote start terminals for start/stop functionality, and a coil rating of 250-500V AC/DC, with an overload rating of 24-29A, all housed within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
