Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage and confirm whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. The control power used to close the contactor must also be selected. The overload should be chosen based on a current range that includes the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power configuration, which can be "direct-online" if the line power is also used for control or "separate control voltage" if they differ. For activation from an external switch, remote start terminals can be added, with configurations available for separate control voltage combined with remote start terminals. Key features include a 38A 3 phase separate coil voltage reset button only, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, 29-35A overload capacity, and a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
