Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, select the control power used to close the contactor, and choose the overload by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. The available options include direct-online starters when line power is used as control power or separate control voltage if the control voltage differs from the line voltage. Remote start terminals can be added for activation from an external switch, with configurations available for separate control voltage combined with remote start terminals. Key features include a 38A 3-phase separate coil voltage with remote start terminals, start/stop functionality, a 250-500V AC/DC coil, and a 20-24A overload, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
