Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage from the motor or equipment nameplate, and confirm whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA of the motor and select the control power used to close the contactor. The overload should be chosen from a current range that includes the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria include incoming power choices, either a "direct-online starter" using line power as control power or "separate control voltage" where the control voltage differs from the line voltage. For external activation, terminals can be added for "remote start terminals." Key features include a 38A 3-phase configuration, direct online reset button, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and an overload range of 16-20A, along with compliance to NEMA 4X standards.
