Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters designed for use with motors up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, overload relay, and is housed in a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate based on the input voltage, ensuring to confirm if the power is 1-phase or 3-phase. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA. The control power, which activates the contactor, can either match the line power, classified as a "direct-online starter," or differ, known as "separate control voltage." For activation via an external switch, remote start terminals can be added. Features include 38A 3-phase remote start terminals for start/stop functionality, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 35-40A overload relay.
