Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for motors up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To choose the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate corresponding to your input voltage and confirm whether you are using 1-phase or 3-phase power. It is essential to select a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA. The control power used to close the contactor must be chosen, along with an overload that encompasses the FLA. Options include selecting between direct-online starter configurations or separate control voltage setups. Additionally, for external switch activation, starters can be equipped with remote start terminals. The features of these starters include a 38A 3-phase separate coil voltage with a reset button, a coil voltage range of 100-250V AC/DC, and an overload capacity of 24-29A. The NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure adds further protection and durability.
