Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for motors up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate according to the input voltage supplied, and confirm whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Select a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA, then choose the control power used to close the contactor. The overload should also be selected based on a current range that includes the FLA from the previous step. Additional options include incoming power configurations such as "direct-online starter" where line power is used as control power, "separate control voltage" for differing line and control voltages, and "remote start terminals" for activation from an external switch, with the assumption that line and control voltages are the same. For those requiring different voltages, the option of "separate control voltage + remote start terminals" is available. Key features include 38A 3-phase operation, remote start terminals, a reset button, a coil rated for 100-250V AC/DC, and a 29-35A overload, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
