Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, reference the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, and confirm if it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. The control power to close the contactor and the overload must be selected based on a current range that contains the FLA from the previous step. Optional criteria include incoming power, with options such as "direct-on-line starter," "separate control voltage," and "remote start terminals" for activation from an external switch. The features of the kit include a 38A, 3-phase separate control voltage with remote start terminals, a reset button, a coil rated for 24-60V AC/DC, and a 35-40A overload relay, all contained within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
