Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for up to 60HP or 80A applications. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the supply voltage, ensuring to confirm whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of the motor. The control power used to close the contactor must be identified, followed by selecting an overload that contains the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power configuration, which can be direct-online or involve separate control voltage, and remote start terminals for external switch activation. The features of the motor starter include a 38A rating, compatibility with three-phase systems, direct online functionality, a reset button, a 250-500V AC/DC coil, and an overload relay rated for 20-24A.
