Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters designed to accommodate motors up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the correct starter, begin by checking the motor or equipment nameplate for the full load amperage (FLA) at the specified input voltage, confirming if the power is single-phase or three-phase. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA and select the appropriate control power for closing the contactor. The overload relay should be chosen from a range that encompasses the motor's FLA. Additionally, options include direct-online starters that use line power as control power, configurations requiring separate control voltage, and setups with remote start terminals for activation by an external switch. The features include a 38A 3-phase configuration with separate control voltage and remote start terminals, a reset button, a 24-60V AC/DC coil, and a 29-35A overload range, all housed in a durable NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
