Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for applications up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage and confirm whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. The starter should be rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. The control power used to close the contactor must also be chosen, along with selecting the overload based on a current range that encompasses the FLA. Additional options to consider include incoming power configurations such as direct-online starters, separate control voltage, and remote start terminals for activation from an external switch. Key features of the motor starter include 38A capacity, single-phase operation, remote start terminals, a start/stop function, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 20-24A overload relay, all housed in a durable NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
