Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for motors up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, it is essential to verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate at the supply input voltage, confirming whether the application requires single-phase or three-phase power. The starter must be rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA. The control power to close the contactor must be selected, and the overload should be chosen based on a current range that encompasses the motor's FLA. Additional options include selecting incoming power types, either "Direct-On-Line Starter" if line power is used for control purposes, or "Separate Control Voltage" if different voltages are employed.
