Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters with ratings up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate based on the input voltage supplied, ensuring to confirm if the power is 1-phase or 3-phase. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA and select the control power used to close the contactor. The overload must be chosen from a current range that contains the FLA determined earlier. Additional options include direct-online starters if line power is also used for control, or separate control voltage if different from line voltage. For external activation, remote start terminals can be added, with options for separate control voltage with remote start terminals as well. Key features include a 38A 1-phase separate control voltage with remote start terminals, a reset button, a 24-60V AC/DC coil, 20-24A overload, and a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
