Assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, confirming whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA of your motor, select the control power for closing the contactor, and choose the overload based on a current range that encompasses the motor FLA. Optional criteria include incoming power, with options for a direct-online starter or separate control voltage. If activation is from an external switch, remote start terminals may be added, with configurations for matching or differing line and control voltages. Key features include a 38A 1-phase separate coil voltage start/stop with a 100-250V AC/DC coil and 20-24A overload, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
