Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power to the motor. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, and select the control power used to close the contactor. The overload can be chosen by selecting a current range that includes the FLA of the motor. The optional criteria include incoming power settings, where "direct-online starter" uses line power as control power, while "separate control voltage" indicates different line and control voltages. For activation from an external switch, the option for "remote start terminals" includes terminals to accept the control power input from that switch. If using different voltages for line and control power, the configuration is referred to as "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." Key features include a 38A 1-phase, separate control voltage start/stop option with a 24-60V AC/DC coil and a 29-35A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure.
