Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power to the motor, and choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. Additionally, choose the control power used to close the contactor and select the overload by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. The starter options include incoming power configurations, where line power can be used as the control power (direct-online starter) or where control voltage differs from line voltage (separate control voltage). Remote start terminals can be added for activation from an external switch, applicable when the line and control voltages are the same, or in cases where different voltages are used, this is referred to as separate control voltage plus remote start terminals. Key features include 52A, 3-phase operation, separate coil voltage, start/stop functionality, a coil voltage ranging from 250-500V AC/DC, and an overload capacity of 22-28A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
