Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage from the motor or equipment nameplate, ensuring to confirm whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of the motor. The selection process includes determining the control power used to close the contactor and choosing an overload with a current range that contains the FLA. Optional criteria include the type of incoming power: a "direct-online starter" if the line power is also the control power, "separate control voltage" if they differ, or "remote start terminals" if the starter is activated from an external switch. The starter features 52A 3 phase remote start terminals, a start/stop function, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and an overload relay rated for 44-53A. The enclosures meet NEMA 4X standards for protection against dust and water.
