Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for motors up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and come in a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter for your application, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, ensuring to confirm whether the motor operates on single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for a current higher than the FLA of your motor, and determine the control power used to close the contactor. Select the overload by identifying a current range that encompasses the FLA determined previously. For additional selection, consider the incoming power configuration; this can be a "direct-online starter" if line power is used for control, or "separate control voltage" if different. If activation from an external switch is required, the option for "remote start terminals" is available, assuming line and control voltages match. For those using distinct line and control voltages along with remote start functionality, the configuration would be "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." The system features a 52A three-phase separate control voltage start/stop with a 24-60V AC/DC coil and a 44-53A overload rating.
