Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for motors up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, it is essential to verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor nameplate at the input voltage, distinguishing between 1-phase and 3-phase power. The starter must be rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA. The control power to close the contactor must also be determined, followed by selecting the overload based on a current range that includes the FLA. Optional criteria for selection encompass incoming power configurations, such as "direct-online starter," "separate control voltage," and "remote start terminals" for external switch activation. Key features include 52A 3-phase remote start terminals, start/stop control, a coil voltage range of 100-250V AC/DC, and a 25-33A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
