Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for motors up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, users should refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, ensuring the correct identification of single-phase or three-phase power. The starter should be rated for current higher than the FLA. Users also need to choose the control power for the contactor and select an overload current range that encompasses the FLA. Additional options include selecting between a direct-online starter, which utilizes line power for control, or a separate control voltage configuration, where the control voltage differs from the line voltage. For starters activated by an external switch, remote start terminals are available, which also support separate control voltage when needed. Key features include a 52A three-phase separate coil voltage, remote start terminals for start/stop functionality, and a 100-250V AC/DC coil, along with a 25-33A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
