Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters capable of handling up to 60 HP or 80 A. These assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, users should verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage and confirm whether the motor uses single-phase or three-phase power, ensuring that the chosen starter is rated for a current higher than the FLA. The control power to close the contactor must also be selected, along with an overload that covers the FLA range. Optional criteria include the type of incoming power: using line power as control power is identified as a "direct-online starter," while differing line and control voltages are labeled "separate control voltage." If activation is needed from an external switch, terminals for accepting control power input can be added, termed "remote start terminals." For configurations requiring both different voltages and remote start terminals, it is classified as "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." The features include a 52A 3-phase separate coil voltage with remote start terminals and a start/stop operation, accommodating a 250-500V AC/DC coil and a 44-53A overload in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
