Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage supplied, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, and select the control power used to close the contactor. The overload should be chosen from a current range that contains the motor's FLA. Additional options include incoming power configurations where line power may also serve as control power, which is termed a "direct-online starter," or a "separate control voltage" if the control voltage differs from the line voltage. For activation from an external switch, terminals can be added for control power input, referred to as "remote start terminals." The kit features include 52A 3 phase remote start terminals, a reset button only, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 22-28A overload.
