Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters with ratings up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, confirming whether the motor uses single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, and select the control power used to close the contactor. The overload should be chosen by selecting a current range that contains the FLA identified earlier. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power configurations, such as direct-online starters, separate control voltage, or remote start terminals for external activation. The key features of the starter include a rating of 52A, compatibility with 3 phase power, a separate coil voltage, a reset button, a 250-500V AC/DC coil, and a 30-40A overload protection. The entire assembly is designed with a NEMA 4X polycarbonate housing for durability.
