Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters, rated up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, refer to the motor nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the supplied input voltage, ensuring to confirm if it is single-phase or three-phase power. Select a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of the motor. Choose the control power for closing the contactor and select the overload based on a current range that includes the FLA. Optional criteria for selection include the incoming power type, which can be a "direct-online starter" if line power is used for control, or a "separate control voltage" if different. For external switch activation, remote start terminals can be added, and if using different voltages for line and control power, the configuration becomes "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." Key features include a 52A three-phase separate coil voltage with remote start terminals and a reset button, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 25-33A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
