Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage and confirm whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA of your motor, select the control power for closing the contactor, and choose the overload based on a current range that includes the motor's FLA. The starter options include features such as a 52A rating, compatibility with 3-phase power, separate coil voltage with remote start terminals, a reset button, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 30-40A overload relay.
