Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for applications up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to confirm the full load amperage (FLA) at the supplied input voltage, noting whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for a current higher than the motor's FLA, select the control power used to activate the contactor, and pick the overload by selecting a current range that encompasses the motor's FLA. The optional criteria for selecting the starter include incoming power requirements, such as a "direct-online starter" for the same line and control voltage or "separate control voltage" if they differ. Remote start terminals can be added to accept control power input from an external switch if needed. Key features include a 52A three-phase separate coil voltage reset button, a coil rated for 100-250V AC/DC, and overload protection in the range of 25-33A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
