Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. The control power used to close the contactor must also be selected. For the overload, select a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. Incoming power considerations include whether line power will be used as control power, indicating a "direct-online starter," or if the control voltage differs from the line voltage, referred to as "separate control voltage." For starters activated from an external switch, terminals for remote start input can be added, assuming the line and control voltage are the same. For remote start terminals with different line and control voltages, it is designated as "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." Key features include a 52A 3 phase separate control voltage with reset button, a coil voltage range of 24-60V AC/DC, and overload protection from 36-47A, all housed within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
