Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for applications up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, it is essential to verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor nameplate, considering whether the motor operates on single-phase or three-phase power. It is recommended to choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA. The control power for the contactor must also be selected, along with the overload setting based on a current range that encompasses the FLA. Options for selection include whether the incoming power will be used as control power (direct-online starter), if separate control voltage is needed, and if remote start terminals are required for activation via an external switch. Key features of the motor starters include a rating of 52A for 1 phase, remote start terminals, a reset button only, a control coil voltage of 100-250V AC/DC, an overload range of 44-53A, and a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
