Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters with ratings up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, it is essential to verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate, considering whether the system operates on 1 phase or 3 phase power. The motor starter should be rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA. Control power options are available for closing the contactor, and the overload can be chosen from a current range that includes the FLA. Key features of this starter include a current capacity of 52A, compatibility with 1 phase systems, separate control voltage with remote start terminals, a start/stop function, a coil voltage of 24-60V AC/DC, and an overload relay rated for 22-28A.
