Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for motors up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate, ensuring to confirm the type of power supply (1 phase or 3 phase). It is essential to choose a starter rated for current (amps) that exceeds the FLA of the motor. Additionally, choose the control power voltage for closing the contactor and select the overload relay based on a current range that accommodates the FLA. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power, which can be configured as a "Direct-Online Starter" if line power is also used for control, or as "Separate Control Voltage" if different voltages are required. For activation from an external switch, terminals can be added for "Remote Start Terminals," with configurations available for either the same voltage or separate line and control voltages. Key features of the starter include a rating of 52A for 1 phase with Separate Control Voltage, a reset button, a coil voltage of 24-60V AC/DC, and an overload relay rated for 36-47A, all housed within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
