Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for motors up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate for the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, ensuring that you verify whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, and select the control power needed to close the contactor. The overload relay should be chosen based on a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria for selection include the type of incoming power: direct-online starter (if the line power serves as control power) or separate control voltage (if they differ). For activation via an external switch, remote start terminals are available, with configurations for "separate control voltage" or "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." The features of the starter include a 65A 3 phase capability, remote start terminals, and a 100-250V AC/DC coil, along with a 50-60A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
