Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters designed for use with motors up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, users should check the motor or equipment nameplate for the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, ensuring to confirm whether the power is 1-phase or 3-phase. The starter must be rated for a current higher than the FLA. The options also allow for selection based on the type of control power used to engage the contactor, as well as the overload current range that accommodates the motor’s FLA. Additionally, users can choose from various configurations such as direct-online starters, separate control voltage setups, and those that incorporate remote start terminals for external switch activation. Specific features of the starter include a rating of 52A for 1-phase applications, the option for separate control voltage along with remote start terminals, and a start/stop capability through a 24-60V AC/DC coil, with overload protection rated between 25-33A.
