Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters capable of handling motors up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter for your needs, verify the full load amperage (FLA) on the motor or equipment nameplate at the input voltage, ensuring you know whether the motor operates on 1-phase or 3-phase power. Select a starter rated for current higher than the FLA, determine the control power required to close the contactor, and choose the overload by selecting a current range that encompasses the FLA. Additionally, you may opt for specific configurations: if the line power is both the control power and line voltage, it's a "direct-online starter"; if different, consider "separate control voltage." If activation occurs via an external switch, you can add terminals for "remote start" or "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." The features of the starter include 52A capacity, 1-phase operation, a separate coil voltage, a reset button, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, a 22-28A overload relay, and a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
