Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage. Confirm whether you are using single phase or three phase power. Choose a starter rated for a current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. The control power used to close the contactor and the overload must be selected based on a current range that contains the motor’s FLA. For optional criteria, if the line power will also serve as control power, this is a "direct-online starter." If the control voltage differs from the line voltage, it is termed "separate control voltage." For activation from an external switch, remote start terminals can be added, with the assumption that line and control voltage are the same. In cases where different voltages are used, this is referred to as "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." The features of the starter include 52A 1 Phase Remote Start Terminals, Start/Stop functionality, a 100-250V AC/DC Coil, and a 44-53A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
