Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for applications up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate for the input voltage supplied, ensuring to determine if it is 1 phase or 3 phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) that exceeds the FLA. The control power used to activate the contactor must be selected next, followed by choosing the overload by selecting a current range that includes the motor's FLA. For additional selection criteria, consider the incoming power; if line power is used as control power, it is termed a "direct-online starter," while differing line and control voltages denote "separate control voltage." For activation from an external switch, remote start terminals can be included, and if separate voltages are used alongside remote start terminals, it is labeled "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." Key features include a 65A 3 phase direct online start/stop capability, a 250-500V AC/DC coil, and a 57-67A overload protection, all within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
