Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters designed for applications up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter consists of a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. When selecting the appropriate starter, it is essential to verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate, considering whether the power supply is 1-phase or 3-phase. The selected starter must be rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of the motor. The control power used to close the contactor should also be chosen, along with the overload settings that encompass the FLA. For additional options, users can specify the type of incoming power, such as a "direct-online starter" if the line power is used as control power, or a "separate control voltage" if different voltages are employed. The design may include "remote start terminals" to accept control power from an external switch, and for scenarios with varying line and control voltages, it combines "separate control voltage" with "remote start terminals." Key features include 65A 3-phase separate coil voltage, remote start terminals for start/stop functionality, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, overload settings ranging from 44-53A, and a sturdy NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
