Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for applications up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate according to the input voltage supplied and confirm whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. It should be noted that the selected starter must be rated for higher current (amps) than the FLA. Choose the control power used to engage the contactor and select the overload by identifying a current range that encompasses the FLA. Additional options include incoming power, which can either be direct-online or utilize separate control voltage. If external activation is required, starters can be configured with remote start terminals, assuming the line voltage and control voltage are the same unless specified otherwise. The features of this specific kit include a 65A rating, designed for 3-phase systems, with separate control voltage and remote start terminals, and a start/stop functionality with a 24-60V AC/DC coil and a 50-60A overload relay in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
