Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate based on the input voltage, confirming whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA, and select the control power used to close the contactor. Choose the overload by selecting a current range that includes the FLA. Options include direct-online starter if line power is used as control power, separate control voltage if different from line voltage, and remote start terminals if activated from an external switch. The features include a rating of 65A, designed for 3-phase systems, equipped with remote start terminals, a reset button only, a coil voltage range of 250-500V AC/DC, and an overload relay range of 44-53A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
