Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate based on the input voltage, confirming the phase of the power supply. Choose a starter with a current rating higher than the FLA and select control power for the contactor. The overload relay should be within the appropriate current range. Optional criteria include incoming power configuration, which can be a "direct-online starter" if the line power also serves as control power, or "separate control voltage" if different. For activation via an external switch, select "remote start terminals," and if using different line and control voltages, choose "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." Key features consist of a 65A 3-phase direct online with a reset button, a 250-500V AC/DC coil, and a 50-60A overload relay, all enclosed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
