Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the specified input voltage, ensuring the correct phase type (single-phase or three-phase). Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA and select the control power for the contactor. The overload should be selected based on a current range that accommodates the motor's FLA. Consider the incoming power configuration: for direct-online starters, line power is used as control power; for separate control voltage configurations, control voltage differs from line voltage, and remote start terminals can be added for external switch activation. This specific model features a 65A rating, is designed for three-phase applications, includes remote start terminals, a reset button, and operates on a 100-250V AC/DC coil with a 50-60A overload.
