Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage and confirm if it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA of the motor. The control power used to close the contactor must also be chosen along with selecting an overload current range that contains the motor's FLA. Optional criteria include the type of incoming power, which can be a direct-online starter if the line power is also used as control power, or a separate control voltage if they differ. For activation from an external switch, remote start terminals can be added. The featured motor starter is rated for 65A, operates on 3-phase power, supports separate control voltage with remote start terminals, has start/stop functionality, a 24-60V AC/DC coil, and includes a 36-47A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
