Springer Controls manufactures a comprehensive line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters designed for applications up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure, ensuring durability and protection in various environments. To select the appropriate starter, it is essential to verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate and confirm whether it utilizes single-phase or three-phase power. The starter must be rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA. Additionally, options for the control power used to engage the contactor should be selected, along with an overload configuration that encompasses the motor's FLA. Optional features include the choice of incoming power: for direct-online starters, the line power is utilized as the control power, while separate control voltage arrangements involve differing line and control voltages. Remote start terminals can be integrated for external switch activation, including arrangements for separate control voltages. Key features of the starters consist of a 65A capacity, 1-phase separate coil voltage, a reset button, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and overload ratings in the range of 57-67A, all housed within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
